Zechariah 3:9 The Promised Stone with 7 eyes

“For the stone which I place before the face of Joshua, upon one stone are 7 eyes.

Behold, I am digging a pit, says the Lord Almighty,’ and I will search out every wrongdoing of that land in one day.”

Zechariah 3:9 – Septuagint Translation

The above is the Septuagint translation of Zechariah 3:9, which is the most accurate rendition of this scripture.

The stone with the 7 eyes, denotes the eyes of the Lord. Set in stone, marked with 7, the number of perfection.

The eyes of the Lord are searching out and exposing every evil that was once hidden in order to purge the land. This routing out of evil is necessary for the purification of the land.

The Lord is also digging a pit … This digging and exposure will be shocking and disrupting. Even painful to endure. However it is necessary for sin to be exposed and a new foundation set.

When the land is purged of iniquity only then will the people be lead into a new era of peace, harmony and rest.

One where each shall welcome and invite their neighbour, to enjoy and SHARE in each other’s prosperity. For Generosity, Kindness and Hospitality are the ways of His Kingdom.

“On that day,” says the Lord Almighty, “each of you will invite his neighbour under his vine and under his fig tree.”- Zechariah 3:10
