The Galatians, through false teachers, were falling into following the works of the law.( circumcision etc )
The apostle Paul reminds them that a life in Christ is a spirit-filled life.
A dynamic life of Faith. Renewing one’s mind to believe and rest upon His multitude of promises. This is LIVING FAITH. It has a Pulse and a Power to it!
Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? – Galatians 3:5
Only those who are of Faith are sons of Abraham.
Further, they are no longer slaves of God, but sons and heirs of God through Christ.
They stir themselves, faithfully, daily, to believe in the unseen …. By faith, they act and live as though they have already received.
But what of those who fell into operating the works of the law ?
They had a different mindset.
A practical, flesh based way of thinking.
That naturally causes them to fall into the works of the flesh.
The Lord had opened a new wayof living (led by the spirit) yet it was rejected by those ‘comfortable’ with and foolishly loyal to the old …
The scripture reveal that since the law brings a curse, in choosing the law over faith, they live under a curse.
The apostle Paul minces no words. He pronounces them bewitched. He declares that to these, is anathema.
Galatians 1:8-9 : “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed [anathema].
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed [anathema].”
In conclusion – It is principle to our walk in Christ to Renew our minds daily to BELIEVE in the UNSEEN.
Never give up, accept defeat nor float in waves of doubt. But remain solidly rooted in The Rock that is the Lord.
Our Destiny in Christ is to TRIUMPH as Overcomers in Christ.
Overcoming challenges to shout aloud the VICTORY that was long ago gained from the shedding His Blood.
For the lamb of God was slain at the very foundation of the world.
The sons of Abraham who live by FAITH, reject the lies fed by the world. By FAITH we live and rest in HIS WONDERFUL TRUTH. 🥰
By Faith we surrender to the PULL of the Holy Spirit.
He runs like a wild horse and we simply give in!
How blessed we are to have the Pearl of Great Price! He truly set us Free. ♥️
